On 6th December, Daejeon City Tourism Organization (CEO Yoon Seong-guk) announced that it held the “2023 Daejeon Sejong Tourism Company Performance Sharing Meeting and Tourism Day”. This event was at the Intercity Hotel on December 6 with the Daejeon-Chungnam Branch of the Korea Tourism Organization (CEO Kim Jeong-ah).
This performance-sharing meeting was designed to share the results of the center's major projects promoted this year, award excellent tourism companies and destinations, encourage each other for their hard work throughout the year, and serve as a venue for communication.
The event was divided into two parts with about 120 people participating, including officials from Daejeon City and Sejong City, the local transportation chain hosted by the Daejeon Sejong Tourism Enterprise Support Center, the Sejong Chungbuk branch of the Korea Tourism Organization, tourism companies in and outside the region, and tourism businesses.
In the beginning, the annual business results of Daejeon and Sejong tourism companies and Tourism Dure were shared, and awards and presentations were made for best practices of Daejeon-Sejong tourism companies and Tourism Dure resident businesses. This was followed by an understanding of the '2024 tourism trend outlook' by Song Min-gyu, general manager of Yanolja Group with a special analysis lecture.
In the second part, a separate business consultation session will be held at the Sapphire Hall to secure a cooperation network through 1:1 matching between Daejeon and Sejong tourism companies and Tourism Dure resident businesses, tourism business consultation, and other financial support (Daejeon branch of the Credit Guarantee Fund) and government support. Professional and practical counseling was provided to businesses in need by the Korea Institute of Entrepreneurship and Entrepreneurship Development to help resolve difficulties.
Kim Jeong-ah, head of the Daejeon and Chungnam branch of the Korea Tourism Organization, stated, “Since the opening of the Daejeon Sejong Tourism Business Support Center, this is the first business consultation meeting between tourism companies and tourism dure resident businesses, I hope it will be a meaningful opportunity to expand the scope of tourism business. We will continue to strive to revitalize the foundation for sustainable coexistence and cooperation between tourism companies and tourism destinations”.
Yoon Seong-guk, President of Daejeon City Tourism Organization, also expressed, “We hope to provide an opportunity to promote collaboration and create new business opportunities by activating exchanges between Daejeon and Sejong tourism companies and tourism dure resident businesses.” He added, “We will continue revitalizing the local tourism industry and creating a cooperative network.
