On December 12, Korea Water Resources Corporation (K-water, CEO Yoon Seok-dae) held an 'ESG Management Promotion and Practice' meeting with its subsidiaries, K-water Operation Management Co., Ltd. and K-water Technology Co., Ltd., at the Korea Water Resources Corporation headquarters in Daedeok-gu, Daejeon. A ‘parent-subsidiary joint declaration ceremony’ was held.
This declaration was prepared to pledge that the three organizations will practice ESG management together to create a better world through water and sustainable growth of each organization. We plan to provide practical support to introduce and implement ESG management.
The declaration includes efforts to share relevant vision, goals, and principles to spread ESG management and internalize ESG values, implement eco-friendly management and carbon-neutral policies to protect the environment, and actively respond to the climate crisis, employee safety, and human rights based on safety and human rights. The main contents include realizing mutual growth between the community and the community. Transparent decision-making that adheres to law and ethical values and activation of communication.
The three organizations plan to strengthen cooperation starting with joint social contribution activities that can be simple mented first. To this end, Korea Water Resources Corporation is actively implementing ESG management through K-Water Operation Management Co., Ltd. and K-Water Technology Co., Ltd., including signing follow-up business agreements with these organizations and promoting joint social contribution activities at least once a year. We plan to cooperate and support.
Goo Ja-yeong, head of the planning division at Korea Water Resources Corporation, said, “Starting with today’s joint declaration, we plan to continue substantial cooperation to spread ESG management,” he added, “We will actively communicate based on a strengthened cooperation system and pursue ESG issues such as eco-friendliness, safety, integrity, and transparency. We will do our best to realize our management values and leap forward as a company trusted by the public.”
