On the 20th, the 'Shining HOLO' event, a relationship-finding project for single-person households of office workers in Daejeon, hosted by Daejeon Metropolitan City and organized by Daejeon Metropolitan City Family Center (Center Director Kim Hye-yong), was successfully held at Daejeon Shinsegae Aquarium.

Pre-ceremony booth events included makeup over, photo booth operation, and free viewing of the aquarium. Daejeon Metropolitan City previously announced marriage projects that would make life easier for young people and newlyweds, such as the operation of small marriage incentives and pre-couple schools to be implemented in 2025.

Kim Hye-yong, head of the Daejeon Metropolitan City Family Center stated “This ‘Shining HOLO’ is aimed at single-person households in their 20s and 30s, whose opportunities to meet have decreased after the coronavirus. In the future, the social network of single-person households of various age groups will be expanded. Through this formation, we will provide an opportunity for continuous communication to prevent isolation of single-person households and improve life satisfaction".

Daejeon Metropolitan City Family Center is a family center that has been operated since 2006 under the management of Daejeon Metropolitan City and the Daejeon University Industry-Academic Cooperation Group under the management of the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family. Since 2016, this center has integrated the Healthy Family Support Center and the Downward Family Support Center to actively support various types of families in overcoming conflicts and crises and prevent family problems in advance to improve family health. We provide diverse and integrated services such as family education, family counseling, cultural programs, and single-person households.
