On the 21st, the Chungcheong 2027 FISU Summer World University Competition Organizing Committee (hereinafter referred to as the "Organizing Committee") signed a business agreement with four cities and provinces in Chungcheong Province (Daejeon - Chairman Sung Nak-won, Sejong - Chairman Son Mi-kyung, Chungbuk - Chairman Kim Kyung-sik and Chungnam - Chairman Oh Tae-geun) to connect various cultural events and establish a cooperation system among them.
In this business agreement, the four cities and provinces in Chungcheong and the organizing committee agreed to join forces in the successful hosting of the competition and high-quality cultural events. This leads to the expectation that based on this trust, dignified and colorful cultural and artistic events will be held in the future.
Lee Chang-seop, vice chairman of the organizing committee stated, "Through this agreement, the artistic capabilities of our Chungcheong people will be brought together to upgrade the value of the competition further. Furthermore, the valuable assets of Chungcheong cultural artists will serve as a stepping stone for cultural creation to become the K-culture in the world."
The Chungcheong 2027 Summer World University Competition will be held in four cities and provinces (Daejeon, Sejong, Chungcheongbuk-do, Chungcheongnam-do) for 12 days from August 1 to 12, 2027, with 15,000 athletes from 150 countries around the world aged 18 to 25, participating in a total of 18 events.
