The annual Taebaek Sunflower Festival will start on July 24 in Guwau Village of Taebaek, Gangwon-do Province. See numerous fields of sunflowers spanning around 300 species of wild flowers in the nation's largest sunflower patch.
Events include a sunflower field walking path and interactive activities such as planting flowers, making fermented sunflower broth and feeding animals. Exhibitions and concerts are also scheduled.

Take intercity bus at Dong Seoul Bus Terminal next to Gangbyeon Station on Seoul's No.2 subway line bound for Taebaek (about 3 hours and 10 minutes) -> Arrive at Taebaek Bus Terminal -> Take a shuttle bus and get off at Guwau -> Walk for approximately 10 minutes
