Masan is considered as the “Mecca of Korea’s chrysanthemum industry. Since its inception in 1961, chrysanthemum farming in Changwon (Masan) has proliferated, accounting for 13% of chrysanthemum farming nationwide. Masan suits the requirements with rich soil, warm temperature, and cutting-edge technology for growing chrysanthemums. Masan Chrysanthemum Festival has been held since 2000 to promote the excellence of Masan’s chrysanthemums and enhance the market.
In this year, because of the COVID-19 pandemic, Masan Chrysanthemum Exhibition will be held as a non-face-to-face event with "drive-through" format from October 30 to November 8 at Masan Marine New Town.
In order to prevent the spread of COVID-19, only 1,000 cars will be allowed to visit each day. A maximum of 500 vehicles can be parked in the morning from 10am to 1:30pm and in the afternoon from 1:30pm to 5:00pm. It also required advance reservations. Besides, the city plans to thoroughly manage the traffic of visitors by checking the temperature of all occupants in the vehicle, creating a list, and recording the vehicle number CCTV.
