WORLD TEA EXPO 2023 HADONG KOREA will open at the origin of Korea’s tea cultivation. Tea cultivation began in Hadong approximately 1,200 years ago thanks to its perfect condition for growing tea. Tea from Hadong was served to the kings due to its high quality. In 2017, tea from Hadong was registered as a part of Globally Important Agricultural Heritage Systems and is distributed to Starbucks around the world, promoting the taste of Hadong. Hadong tea is popular due to its excellent quality in taste, scent, and color.
WORLD TEA EXPO 2023 HADONG KOREA is the first global tea expo in Korea. With the theme of 'The Scent of Nature, Healthy Future, Tea!', the expo will be held mainly at Hadong Sports Park and Hadong Wild Tea Cultural Festival Hall. Other events are also prepared including 'Tea Road', which will hold various programs related to teas from Gyeongsangnam-do Province.
