On April 12th, the Daejeon branch of the Federation of Artistic & Cultural Organization of Korea (FACO) held an inauguration ceremony for its new chairman, attended by 150 individuals including Mayor Lee Jang-woo of Daejeon and Chairman of FACO Lee Bum-hun at the Daejeon Artist House.

The ceremony began with a farewell to the former chairman, Park Hong-joon, and an inauguration for the new chairman, Seong Nak Won, followed by an encouragement speech from Chairman Lee Bum-hun, a congratulatory speech from Mayor Lee Jang-woo, and a celebratory performance

During the inauguration ceremony, the new chairman Seong presented four visions aimed at transforming Daejeon into a world-class city of art and culture. The four visions included promoting transparency, fairness, and integrity to make the Daejeon Arts Council a respected and dignified organization. In addition, Seong emphasized the importance of establishing Daejeon as a hub for K-content through initiatives such as boosting the Daejeon International Arts Festival (대전국제예술제) and fostering international cultural exchange. He also stressed the need to enhance the rights and benefits of members and member organizations of the Daejeon Yechong through initiatives such as matching corporations with artists and operating a support committee. Finally, Mr. Seong called for the expansion of the influence and reputation of the Daejeon Yechong through the implementation of policy advisory and youth arts committees, and the special membership system. These visions reflect the commitment of the Daejeon branch of the Federation of Artistic & Cultural Organization of Korea to make Daejeon a leading city of art and culture.

During his congratulatory speech, Mayor Lee Jang-woo expressed his hope that the 12th Daejeon Yechong will become the most respected and highest-level arts organization by executing business and budget operations in a fair and transparent manner, citing the city's plans for art and culture-related policies such as the establishment of the 2nd Daejeon Literature Center, and the Lee Jong-soo Art Museum.
