The event, hosted by the Seodaejeon High School Alumni Association (President Park Seungho – 박승호) will feature athletic events and a festival in addition to the commemorative ceremony. The day's activities will include a recreational athletic competition for alumni and their families and a game corner where Seodaejeon alumni who are now professional singers will participate. This athletic event will be especially meaningful as it will be the first time it will be held jointly with the Jaekyung High School Alumni Association.
Principal Yoon Yeo Kyu (윤여규) (5th term) stated, "As Seodaejeon High School celebrates its 50th anniversary, we will strive to enhance the school's reputation in all areas and guide our students to their fullest potential."
President Park Seungho (10th term) of the alumni association said, "I hope that this 50th-anniversary event will help promote unity and camaraderie among alumni from various fields both domestically and internationally and elevate Seodaejeon's pride as a distinguished school."
Jaekyung High School Alumni Association President Kim Jun-hoe (김준회) (11th term) said, "We will encourage many alumni to participate in this event as it is an opportunity to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Seodaejeon High School and for alumni to work together for the benefit of our alma mater."
The first Seodaejeon High School Alumni Association President, Oh Sung-jin (오성진) and General Secretary Kim Jong-chul (김정철), also pledged their support to ensure the success of the 50th-anniversary celebration.
Former President and current honorary member of the alumni association, Lee Chang-jong (이창종) (5th term), emphasized, "The value of Seodaejeon High School must be created by all of us. Let us come together as one heart to elevate the prestige of our school."
Since its establishment in 1973, Seodaejeon High School has produced more than 22,000 graduates who have become distinguished figures in various fields such as Kim Yong-chan (김용찬 - President of Chungnam National University), Lee Hee-hak (이희학 - President of Mokwon University), Oh Young-woo ( 오영우 - Second Vice Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism), Lee Eun-kwon (이은권 - National Assembly member), Sun Byeong-ryeol (선병렬 - National Assembly member), Hwang Un-ha (황운하 - National Assembly member), and Jang Chulmin (장철민 - National Assembly member). Seodaejeon High School is recognized as a representative private school in the region.
