A video ad screened on the streets of Hanoi, Vietnam, is marking the state visit of President Yoon Suk Yeol to that country and wishes for friendship and cooperation between the two countries.

The Office of the President in Seoul on June 22 said that under the title "Partners Who Develop Together via Exchange and Cooperation" (unofficial translation), the ad made its debut on June 19.

The 40-second clip is being aired on a huge high-resolution LED screen on the roof of the Korean Cultural Center in Vietnam.

Installed in central Hanoi, where many locals and tourists visit, the panel, which is shaped like the Hangeul letter ㄱ, shows the video of media art content expressing cultural exchange between both countries.

The ad shows both nations as friends that grew together through exchange and cooperation by showing the massive jump in bilateral trade, which surged 175 times from 1992, when Seoul and Hanoi set up bilateral ties, to USD 87.7 billion last year, as well as the astounding leap in human exchange of 2,400-fold to 4.8 million people over the period.

Through such statistics, the video shows the explosive growth in bilateral ties to the Vietnamese public.

The video was designed by the Office of the Secretary of International Public Relations under the Office of the President in Seoul.

To mark the 30th anniversary of bilateral relations last year, both countries upgraded their ties to the level of a comprehensive strategic partnership.

"This video was designed to allow the people of Korea and Vietnam to look back on the path that both countries, who are comprehensive strategic partners, have walked on together after forming diplomatic relations and think about the future," the presidential office said. "It contains the message that the two sides hope to create a bright future together through close communication and cooperation as friends."
