It's expected that the first group consist of 30 people, including both online and offline promotional activities

On March 29th, a ceremony for the first generation of college student supporters was held at the Government Sejong Convention Center (Sejong City) to promote and support the event both online and offline.

About 80 college students from Daejeon, Sejong, North Chungcheong, and South Chungcheong areas applied for this first round of supporter recruitment, and 30 were ultimately selected. Supporters will directly participate in competition-related events and programs for approximately 10 months until January next year.

Before the big event, there will be an activity to name supporters who could effectively publicize the Chungcheong 2027 FISU World University Games, and together with a professional facilitator, ideas for promoting the tournament were discovered and opinions were shared. Various ideas proposed by supporters will be reviewed by the organizing committee and reflected in the competition promotion plan.

Vice Chairman Lee Chang-seop (이창섭) of the organizing committee, who attended the launch ceremony stated, “As public interest is important for the successful hosting of the Chungcheong 2027 FISU World University Games, we hope that supporters will play a role as a bridge”, he added, “We will make the Chungcheong 2027 FISU World University Games successful with the help of those active activities of college students.”

Meanwhile, the Chungcheong 2027 FISU World University Games will be held in four cities and provinces (Daejeon, Sejong, North Chungcheong, and South Chungcheong) for 12 days from August 1 to 12, 2027, with over 15,000 participants from over 150 countries around the world participating in a total of 18 competitions.
